Responsible Care:
At PRC, we prioritize the well-being of our customers and ensure that their safety, well-being and integrity are protected.
Integrity and honesty:
At PRC, we uphold honesty, integrity, transparency and fairness in all professional relationships and activities. We avoid conflicts of interest and provide accurate information to our customers and stakeholders.
Responsible Use of Authority:
At PRC, we exercise our authority responsibly and ensure that our actions are legal, ethical and within our professional competence.
Responsibility for society:
At PRC, we greatly value contributing positively to society by applying our psychological knowledge and skills to promote mental health, well-being and social justice.
These principles guide us in our practice, ensuring ethical actions, respect for clients' rights and the promotion of psychological well-being and social responsibility.
In the PRC, we are subject to confidentiality regarding the information and data you share with us. We may only pass on information with your consent. But it is worth mentioning that there are certain exceptions where we may be legally obliged to break our confidentiality obligations – e.g. if we judge that you are in serious danger. You can read more about this on the website of the Danish Psychological Association. Also, if you use your health insurance, you can request information about our interview process, provided you give written consent.
It should be mentioned that in our practice we treat emails and SMS confidentially, and store them only as long as necessary, after which they are deleted. However, we are legally required to record the sessions. We only record information relevant to the therapy, not word for word what you have disclosed to us. The relevant information is stored in a secured, encrypted database to which only the PRC has access. If you have given consent for PRC to use your information for reporting to your insurance, your name, address, e-mail and your CPR number will accordingly be recorded. The logs are deleted five years after the last session with each client.
Also good to know:
It is difficult to determine in advance how long your therapeutic course should be, as it depends on the complexity of the problem and your wishes. It can vary from 1-2 interviews to courses that extend over several months. Regardless, you always have the right to end a therapeutic course when it suits you.
No, PRC does not accept medical referrals. However, you may be able to get a subsidy from your health insurance if you have one, or from Sygeforsikring Danmark if you are a member. Many people have the opportunity, via their health insurance or workplace, to get coverage or a subsidy for psychological consultations. Contact your health insurance to find out about your options. If you are a member of Sygeforsikring Danmark, you can get a subsidy from there.
Regarding the interval between sessions, we will decide together and adjust as needed. However, therapy often works best when there is enough time between conversations - i.e. approx. 1 or 2 weeks - where there is room to reflect on the conversations and begin a process of change.
You can cancel by phone, SMS or e-mail. Cancellations must be made no later than 24 hours before the agreed time, otherwise you will have to pay the full price for the interview.
If you have booked an appointment at PRC, the money will be deducted automatically, but you will get it back if you cancel 24 hours before the interview. Like most other clinics, you cannot get the money back if the appointment is canceled less than a day before, as it will not be possible to make a new appointment within the short period of time.
The payment situation can often be a sensitive aspect at the end of therapy, where having to transfer money can have a disruptive effect on the relationship between therapist and client. While it might feel awkward to pay before a session, we have found that doing so eases the conversation by reducing the pressure some clients feel when making a payment or if they forget to bring money.
No, the session must be paid for when it starts.
There may be special agreements if your insurance company pays or other circumstances - if this is the case, please contact us at info@psychologyreliefcenter.dk well in advance of the interview. If you don't think you get anything out of the conversation(s), you always have the option to end the therapeutic course, regardless of where you are in the course.
